NEW YORK – August 14, 2018

The combined entity will form an unprecedented combination of deep cloud-native expertise and delivery at scale, something long demanded by enterprises. Relus Cloud will also bolster Cloudreach’s capabilities in data analytics and machine learning alongside further expanding their managed services capabilities. New York & Atlanta (August 14th, 2018) Cloudreach, a global cloud services provider, has signed a letter of intent to acquire Relus Cloud, a Premier Consulting Partner in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner Network (APN) focused on the North American market. Financial terms of the proposed transaction are not being disclosed. Cloudreach is a cloud-native software-enabled services business founded in 2009. The firm has significant presence in both Europe and North America and enables some of the world’s largest organizations including BP, Hearst Corporation and Volkswagen Financial Services. Cloudreach offers a comprehensive set of capabilities to help their customers build or migrate, optimize, modernize, and maintain applications in the cloud. It is a top tier partner of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud. Cloudreach has also been recognized as a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Public Cloud Infrastructure Managed Service Providers for the second year running. In February 2017, Blackstone Tactical Opportunities acquired a majority stake in Cloudreach, enabling the company to further expand its geographic reach and software development capabilities, and automate its managed services offerings. The Relus Cloud addition follows two previous Blackstone-backed Cloudreach acquisitions of Cloudamize and Emerging Technology Advisors (ETA). Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Relus Cloud began in 2013 as a born-in-the-cloud consulting services company focused solely on AWS adoption, migration and enablement. The firm made a name for itself in the North American cloud community by delivering customer solutions with a focus on digital transformation. It became a Premier Consulting Partner in the AWS Partner Network in 2017, and was recently a global launch partner for the AWS Machine Learning Competency. Relus Cloud is highly regarded for its data and analytics capabilities, migration acceleration and its focus on tech-enabled culture change to facilitate cloud adoption. “Working with Relus Cloud has been a critical component to our success. When you undergo an effort as large as a cloud transformation there are lots of challenges to success. The largest challenge is closing the skill set gap.  Relus Cloud has brought us the skills necessary to make the transition to the cloud easier. Without them the hill would be much tougher to climb” says Don Browning, VP, Cloud Architecture at Turner. The strategy behind Cloudreach’s decision to acquire Relus Cloud is based on the continued demand from customers searching for partners with a combination of strong expertise in data analytics as well as a proven ability to scale and deliver cloud services at the enterprise level. Post acquisition, Cloudreach would have 700+ employees in eight countries across Europe and North America and more than two dozen offices. The addition of Relus Cloud will enable Cloudreach to combine the personalized enterprise caliber service for which it is already known, with scale at a level most smaller boutique cloud consulting organizations cannot reach. They will also bring the benefit of years of deep cloud native expertise when compared to more traditional and legacy-focused global system integrators. In addition to scale, Relus’s capabilities and proven expertise in data analytics and machine learning will improve on Cloudreach’s own investment in this area. This will allow Cloudreach to harness the power of artificial intelligence, machine learning and predictive modeling so that enterprises can gain insight into their data to drive revenue, customer satisfaction and evolve through their digital transformation.   “Cloudreach and Relus Cloud share a similar culture and a strong sense of purpose. Together, we have a significant community of cloud-native talent, proven solutions, and industry experience across North America and Europe. Cloudreach is now even better positioned to enable any organization to become a digital leader,” says Aaron Painter, CEO at Cloudreach. “Relus Cloud was built around three simple principles: creating a company that makes its employees proud, building a responsible business model, and giving back to the community,” says Mark Metz, CEO at Relus Cloud. “Over time, we were able to implement these principles by listening to the voice of both our customers and employees and constantly evolving to meet their objectives. We built a values-based culture hyperfocused on the customer, delivering AWS solutions to help them in their journey to the cloud.  Upon joining forces with Cloudreach, our combined leadership teams, North American coverage and highly skilled employee base will continue to provide enterprises with cloud-native expertise, innovation and guidance navigating their cloud journeys.” About Cloudreach We believe tomorrow’s leaders will be those who take advantage of cloud technologies to beat the competition.
